Pedalwise
Privacy Policy
Pedalwise (“we”, “us”) runs pedalwise.app, a waitlist and free bike fit calculator for an app we are building for people who just bought their first road, gravel, or hybrid bike. This page explains what we collect and what we do with it. The short version: we collect very little, we use it only to tell you about Pedalwise, and we never sell it.
What we collect
When you join the early list, we receive:
- Your email address.
- How long you have had your bike, from the drop-down on the form.
- If you used the fit calculator before signing up: your bike type and the result, which includes your inseam measurement, suggested frame size, and saddle height.
- Where you came from: the campaign tags in the link you clicked (such as utm_source), the referring site, and the page you signed up on.
The fit calculator itself runs entirely in your browser. Measurements you type in are not sent to us unless you submit the signup form.
We also measure visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It does not use cookies or track you across sites, and it gives us only aggregate numbers, such as page views and countries.
How we use it
- To email you when the Pedalwise app launches, and occasionally to ask for feedback while we build it.
- To understand which channels bring people to the site, so we know where to spend our time.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Where it is stored
Signups are stored in a private Google Sheet, received through Google Apps Script. The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Pages may load fonts from Google Fonts, a background video from Mixkit, and images from Unsplash; those providers receive your IP address and browser details when your browser requests the files. Each of these companies handles data under its own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
We keep your information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until we decide not to launch Pedalwise, in which case we delete the list.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from any email we send. You can also ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. Depending on where you live, including California and other US states, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws; we will honor those requests the same way.
Children
Pedalwise is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we will email the people on the list.
